Junior is the young nephew of Betty Boop. Baby Be Good is where he first made an appearance. While being watched by Betty, he misbehaves and refuses to go to bed until she reads him a bedtime tale.

In Grampy's Indoor Outing, Junior makes his second appearance. He and Betty want to go to a funfair, but it starts to rain and they can't go, so Junior has a temper tantrum. Grampy puts on his thinking cap and designs his own fair.

Junior made his final appearance in the series when he and Pudgy went animal hunting in the woods in The Foxy Hunter. They both annoy a mother duck by shooting her young, which causes her to chase them to Betty's house, where Betty restrains Junior and Pudgy so that the mother duck can punish them both.

Filmography

Trivia

  • Junior is not Betty Boop's son, Betty simply babysits him.
  • He has also appeared in the Fleischer's Animated News.
  • He makes more appearances than Betty Boop's cousin Buzzy Boop.
  • He seems to have aged a little through the course of the series.
  • He is not Billy Boop. Billy was initially Betty Boop's little brother, but he was removed from the series in 1933. Which would make the retired Billy (possibly aged up as the Fleischer cartoons make no sense) the uncle of Junior.
  • Most of the babies and little boys facial features and head shapes in a majority of the Fleischer Studios cartoons resemble both Betty and Junior.
