Johnny Throat is a character that appears in The Romance of Betty Boop (1985). He threatens Betty's Uncle Mischa who owns the club bubbles and cannot pay his debts that he owe's Mr Throat. Johnny wants to own the club bubbles and have Betty as his girlfriend. Mr Throat has two gang members, one is called Pudgy (Who isnt to be confused with Pudgy the dog, his name seems to be a reference to the character). while the other criminal is nameless. The gang kidnaps Betty, and she escapes, but the criminals follow her with the intention of killing her. Betty runs away with the coward Waldo Van Lavish, but is saved by Freddy (Fearless Fred).
Voice Actor
His voice is provided by George R. Wendt who also did the voice for one of his goons, Pudgy or Punchie. Robert Towers did the voice of Chuckles.
