Don Laver Has Retired[1]

Don Laver created the voice when travelling through clubs in Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas with a relief band one Summer in the late 1950s, just before he put on the uniform. At the time, Laver was taking his music degree at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash., best known as the alma mater of crooner Bing Crosby. The classically-trained opera singer was perhaps best known for his public performances. The jovial singer switches from an aria to a Tony Bennett classic with ease. And his vocal chords were up to a Betty Boop kind of voice for songs like "I Wanna Be Loved By You" and "On the Good Ship Lollipop," during which he donned a wig.
